Urangan Medical Centre is the longest established medical practice in Hervey Bay and has expanded into a very modern surgery located at 2 Toni Street, Urangan. It is on the corner of Toni Street and Boat Harbour Drive. There is a bus stop on Boat Harbour Drive in front of the park opposite the surgery. The opening hours are Monday to friday 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. Saturdays to 8.30- 5.00pm Sundays open from 9:30am to 4 pm. We are closed all public holidays.
All consultations are by appointment only. These are made at 15 minute intervals. Please let the receptionists know if you are requiring a longer appointment to avoid extended waiting periods. Patients will be seen in order of appointment times, if you arrive early you will not be seen until that time. Should you have an emergency after hours or on public holidays, phone our surgery and we have a recorded message advising the telephone number of the doctor on call. Urgent problems will be dealt with promptly. Patients who have multiple or complicated problems should ask for a long appointment. As it is impossible to tell when emergencies will arise, the doctors sometimes cannot adhere to the appointment schedule. Patients should feel free to contact the surgery prior to appointment to check if things are running on time. We request that routine appointments are made early and that early notification is given of cancellations. Should you miss your appointment without cancelling, it will be recorded on your records.
